Kannappa- Prabhas not interested to play the role of Shiva in Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa’!

The new Telugu movie ‘Kannappa’ is creating a lot of excitement. It stars Vishnu Manchu and tells the story of a devotee of the Hindu god Shiva. The film, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, started filming in August 2023 in New Zealand. Originally in Telugu, it will also be dubbed in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

There was buzz that Prabhas would make a cameo as Lord Shiva, but now it’s rumored he’ll play a different character named Nadeeswarudu. Reports say Prabhas’ team asked for this change because he’s playing a role similar to Lord Vishnu in another movie, ‘Kalki AD 2898’. Akshay Kumar might take on the role of Lord Shiva instead, but there’s no official confirmation yet.

Prabhas has been busy with several projects. After ‘Salaar’, he’s gearing up for ‘The Raja Saab’ with Maruthi, ‘Spirit’ with Sandeep Vanga Reddy, and ‘Salaar part 2 Shouryanga Parvam’ with Prashanth Neel. Fans are also waiting for ‘Kalki AD 2898’, directed by Nag Ashwin, which features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and Deepika Padukone, set to release on June 20, 2024.
