At a recent awards ceremony in Chennai, the director was questioned about potential casting decisions for a Tamil adaptation of Animal. In reply, Vanga suggested Tamil actor Suriya as the perfect fit for the protagonist’s role. His response elicited enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Vanga rose to prominence with his earlier work, “Arjun Reddy,” which was later adapted into the Hindi film “Kabir Singh.” Despite its success, “Kabir Singh” received backlash for its portrayal of toxic masculinity.
